We will be closing at 12 (noon) on Tuesday, December 24th and we will be closed all day Christmas Day, December 25th so our employees can spend time with their families.

Fees

Effective July 1, 2023

  • Solid Waste: $60.00/ton, $10.00 minimum
  • Appliances: $12.00 each
  • Tires:
    • Passenger Vehicle $5
    • Semi Truck $10
    • All other tires $0.10/lb
  • Wood Pallets: $60.00/ton
  • Brush and tree limbs under 6" diameters: $60.00/ton
  • Electronic Recycling:
    • Computer Monitors, Laptops, TV's - $22.50
    • Console TV's - $30
    • Computer Parts, Hard Drives, Keyboards, Mouses, Printers, Fax Machines, Copiers, DVD/VCR's, Stereos, Cell Phones, Power Tools - No Charge
  • Scrap Metal: No charge
  • Battery Recycling: No Charge
  • Yard and Garden Compost/Waste: No charge
  • Waste Oil and Filters: No charge
  • Lead Acid Batteries: No charge
  • Bicycle Recycling Program
  • Household Hazardous Waste: No charge for residential

We accept cash or checks only.  NO credit/debit cards.

To prevent littering, all vehicles, trailers, and wagons must have their loads SECURED (Strapped, Tarped, covered). A $10 gate fee will be charged for unsecured loads, and for loads without endgates.  If you have an endgate, it needs to be in the upright position. 

Other fees/rates can change or be added at anytime

  • Demolition material must be broken down to 3 foot by 3 foot or smaller - No exceptions!
  • No material/lumber/siding longer than 6 feet (couches/doors/some other items excluded) call with questions 
  • Large items (hot tubs) call ahead - these must be cut down prior to arriving 
  • Pallets/tires left in garbage building will have additional charges plus disposal charge
  • Special Waste items tonnage rates or fees can change per load
  • Handling fee of $100/item in addition can apply

All loads must be unloaded and paid for 10 minutes prior to closing time.  Commercial must be completed 30 minutes prior to closing.

Recyclable Items

  • Recyclable items MUST BE CLEAN!♻️
  • All  recyclable items that are glass, plastic and metal may be placed in the blue residential recycling bin
  •       Food and Beverage Containers ONLY. Glass, cans, and plastic ( ,& #5 ONLY) can be mixed together in the bin
  • Keep paper separate in the bin — in a paper bag or bundled together
  • Corrugated cardboard should be broken down/cut into smaller manageable pieces and placed underneath the blue recycle bin
  • If you are in need of a new blue recycle bin please contact your town's city hall or stop at the scalehouse to purchase a new one. (Advise putting your address on all sides of the blue bin, they stay with the property)
  • Rural recycling boxes located throughout county for those who live outside city limits with no curbside pickup. (Call scalehouse for locations near you)
