Weed Commissioner
Job Description
The Crawford County Board of Supervisors are taking applications for the position of Weed Commissioner for 2025 season. This position shall enforce standards established by the Iowa Department of Agriculture for noxious weed identification, control, and elimination. May be requested to attend seminars or schools by an approved agency to obtain certification for above duties.
Shall be required to have a valid Iowa driver’s license and driving record must be in good standing with our insurance carrier. May be required to walk up to a half mile over terrain in the county at any time to perform assigned duties. This is a seasonal position starting approximately April 1st and ending August 31st with a 20 hour work week and no benefits.
